Autogynephilia (AGP)

Autogynephilia is a term coined by noted autogynephile repper, Ray Blanchard. It refers to a fetish wherein men get off on the idea of being women. It is inherently misogynistic and objectifying toward women as it will often drive the autogynephile to perform a caricaturized version of femininity devoid of the context of genuine womanhood as experienced by cisgender and true transsexual women. The literature on this subject is broadly transphobic as it is colored by the autogynephiles and reppers who write about it (myself included), and it is perpetuated by anti-trans groups to further the goal of transsexual genocide (which harms true transsexuals of any gender (though the ways it affects men, women, etc. are different obviously) and cisgender women as well). I believe while there are a number of autogynephiles in existence, I have never personally met one besides myself. Of the handful of trans women I have met, none have outwardly exhibited signs of AGP. Even with the outward expression of various weird fetishes, their transgender status did not seem relevant at all really to any of them. Substack author, twitter poster, and noted chaser, Halimede, has postulated at times the reason some trans women have really weird fetishes has something to do with not going through the sexually repressive torture of a cisgender female upbringing, but i honestly don’t really care.

Autogynandromorphophilia (AGAMP)

Autogynandromorphophilia is similar to AGP but a step deeper. While AGPs get off on the idea of being women, AGAMPs get off on the idea of being AGP. It’s a little more complex than that but that’s the gist. Personally I had early onset AGP which at around eleven or so years old advanced into a form of AGAMP due to almost all available information regarding transgender people and transsexuality being limited to pornography. Now I have to inject myself with estrogen every week or I’ll kill myself.

Resources

Below is a list of resources that may be useful both to true transsexuals as well as autogynephiles

  • A Practical Guide to Feminizing HRT is what it says on the tin. It is a good practical guide to feminizing hrt which is especially helpful when going insane searching through mountains of mis/disinformation about hormone treatments, especially understudied ones (which is all of them but things like progesterone often receive the worst of it)
  • r/TransDIY Wiki has some good information but it’s also reddit so it’s also filled with mostly stupid, useless, or wrong information as well. What it does have, though, are a bunch more links than I’ve put here such as up-to-date links for functional diy hrt markets
  • DBT Skills Training Handouts and Worksheets as recommended by ruinedgirl (everyone say thank you, ruinedgirl), this is a book about Dialectical Behavioral Therapy which is (at least hypothetically) a better way to cope with the weight of being a [] than catholicism
  • fmhy#reading reading is fembrained, read some free books also if anyone has any recommendations let me know (you don’t have to, i will become weird and parasocial immediately)
